BAND TO WATCH :: Oh Land

Oh Land is a Danish electropop singer/songwriter that I have recently seen popping up all over the interwebs. She dropped her US debut Fauna EP yesterday through iTunes and will be making multiple appearances at this year’s CMJ marathon in NYC. Below, I have included two videos from Oh Land that really turned me on to the music.
The first track is a live recording of “Wolf and I” which features Oh Land on vocals and Hans Hvidberg-Hansen on electronic drum pad + percussion.
The second track is an acoustic version of “Sun of a Gun” which happened to be my first exposure to Oh Land. I was under the impression that all of their music sounded like this (acoustic, broken down, etc .. ) but was surprised when I found out that she is more electro based.Thanks to the Big Ugly Yellow Couch for capturing this wonderful performance!
