Words cannot describe the love I have for Lee “Scratch” Perry, and his music. Luckily, fans like myself will soon have a documentary titled The Upsetter: The Life and Music of Lee Scratch Perry to play on repeat. From Love You Moon:

While RX Bandits were in Caracas Venezuela in 2009 on our South American tour, I was able to spend many hours in the Waipea Records studio on our days off. Our Venezuelan brother Marcel recorded tons of my freestyle jamming with an acoustic guitar into the wee hours of the night. Well, he surprised me by taking a section of the session and getting some awesome Venezuelan musicians (Waipea Allstars) to play over my track.

Woke up this morning to two new treats from the Mayer Hawthorne camp! The first is a reggae remix of the Anne Arbor native’s “Maybe So, Maybe No” with production by MATO. This release was in celebration of Mayer reaching 16,000 fans on twitter!

The second goodie is a new music video that is chock full of bikinis for his A Strange Arrangement track “Your Easy Lovin’ Ain’t Pleasin’ Nothin’.” Enjoy!
