Earlier today, Stones Throw announced the release of Madlib Medicine Show #9: Channel 85 presents Nittyville, which looks to be a full-length hip-hop album featuring Detroit’s Frank Nitt, Madlib (duh,) Oh No, and MED. There is currently a pre-order for the album, which will be available on May 31.

The Alchemist and Oh No have teamed up under the moniker Gangrene to release the Sawblade EP through Decon records. While the duo plan to release a full-length album called The Sickness in the future, the Sawblade EP features the track “The Sickness” along with four exclusive non-album cuts and instrumentals. The EP is being printed on a bangin’ 12” sawblade vinyl (pictured above) so make sure you grab one while supplies lasts.

Announced only a few weeks ago, Oh No follows up Dr. No’s Oxperiment by diving again into Egon’s record collection for a region-based intrumental beat album. This time he’s headed into the album inspired-by and sampled-from rare 60s and 70s Ethiopian funk, jazz, folk, soul and psychedelic rock.

I am currently listening to Dr. No’s Oxperiment and really digging his use of obscure sounds inspired-by and sampled-from Turkish, Lebanese, Italian, and Greek psychedelic rock. .. I would def. suggest checking this and his release out ASAP. You can also pick up a pound or two of Stones Throws Ethiopium Coffee.
