Typhoon, the 13-member orchestral indie rock band hailing from Portland, Oregon, recently stopped by the WVUV studios for a short performance of a few tracks. Topics in the interview segment include a rhythm game the band enjoys playing, along with the challenges of touring as such a large band in a small van, and why the band’s members still hang out together when they’re home.

Early this morning, Portugal. The Man appeared on Last Call with Carson Daly for an interview and a performance of the first two tracks from their latest effort In The Mountain, In The Cloud.

Additionally, we have some live footage of PTM performing their b-side “The Devil,” along with a very energetic rendition of “Helter Skelter.”

During a visit to BBC Radio 1, J Rocc dropped a preview of some material off his upcoming release Some Cold Rock Stuf, which is rumored to see the light of the day at some point in March through Stones Throw.

Thanks to the fellas over at Some Kind of Awesome, we have the interview and performance from the Gorillaz Triple J session, which was recorded earlier today in Australia. During the interview portion, Damon Albarn revealed the news that the iPad album, which will be released on Christmas Day, has been titled The Fall.

Every time you start to wonder what those guys in Ratatat are up to, they seem to hit you with a new jam! The New York duo have recently announced the upcoming release of LP4 on June 8th through XL and  leaked the “first” single “Party with Children!” If you are a fan of Ratatat and are decently versed in their previous efforts, you might listen to “Party with Children” and think that it sounds a hell of a lot like many tracks on LP3. The band explains this similar sound in a  Fun Fest interview back in November 09:

“basically what we did is record a whole bunch of songs in a row during about 2 months of recording. Then we’re sort of releasing it chronologically with LP3 being the first half and the second being LP4. LP3 is more us getting the more obvious ideas out of our system and LP4 is sort of weirder…”
