If you ever thought Snoop Dogg needed some crunching dubstep behind his smooth vocals, then don’t hesitate to hit play on Wick-It‘s remix of “Sensual Seduction.”

Our favorite funk-savant Francis and the Lights has just posted two new tracks for download through his tumblr, francisandthelights.com (a must-follow for both the aurally and visually-inclined.)

If you’ve got four minutes, watch Francis Farewell Starlite perform “Tap The Phone” in his basement studio:

Ohio natives Kevin Bayer and Yusef Quotah are an electronic audio-visual collaboration that releases music under the name You, You’re Awesome. What makes this project so special is the duo’s ability to combine analog/digital synths, with the sounds of videos games, and LIVE drums. After recording three six-song EPs over the last few years, You, You’re Awesome are releasing their debut LP, Good Point, Whoever Said That, for FREE!
To give you a taste of what YYA’s debut has to offer, we have included the opening track “She Appears All The Time.” If you are a fan of Holy Fuck, then YYA is right up your alley.
Also, it should be noted that while Good Point, Whoever Said That is available for free, you can also purchase the album, and you will receive three bonus tracks, along with PDF artwork for each track.

VICE-powered Georgia bro’s The Black Lips have a new record coming out on June 7 (the same day as Fucked Up’s David Comes To Life. Be still, my boner.) Mark Ronson sashayed into the producer’s booth for Arabia Mountain to tighten up their jangly, southern-fried sound with a lick of his trademark vintage suave. Yep. This guy helped these guys make a record. And it’s gonna be good.

Our favorite thinking man’s plus-sized punk band have a new LP out on June 7 entitled David Comes To Life. They’re feeding the beast by teasing free mp3s almost weekly, the latest being “Ship of Fools.” Grab “Fools” below, then head to davidcomestolife.com to snag two others. The next track, “Queen of Hearts,” will be posted May 3.
Fucked Up assign more value to their vinyl than anyone this side of Jack White. Really looking forward to picking up this heavy-duty double disc come summer.

It seems as though it was just last month that songstress McKenzie Eddy released her first free mixtape, A Prelude to My Next Excursion, and now, we have her second effort, which is titled McKenzie Eddy’s Greatest Hits. Featured on the release is an intro from Wiz Khalifa, production by Ski Beatz, recording/mixing from Sean O’Connell, some additional vocals from Nicole Wray, and cover art by Raquel Horn. My personal, favorite track is the Syzzup remix of the Prelude single “Retrograde”, which takes the original, mellow track, and transforms it into a killer electro jam that showcases Eddy’s beautiful voice. You might recognize Joseph Pruitt as a member of the band Family Trees, whose 7” is currently available through the Father/Daugther Records ’21 Days of Holidaze’ sale. Let us not forget, however, that in the past, we posted the track “Triple Eyed” from Mr. Pruitt’s side project Son of Rams, which features fuzzed-out, psych pop jams.
Today, we have Son of Rams’ recently released EP, Frolics in the Pink, for download. “Triple Eyed” serves as a solid jump off point for the EP, making its way to the top of the tracklist as the opener.

From Guardian:
Next year, Gang of Four are set to release Content, their first album of new material in 16 years. As a taste of what to expect, here’s a three-track EP to stream or download (if you don’t mind parting with an email address).
Featuring a reworked version of the classic Glass (from their debut album Entertainment!), a brand new song (Sleeper) and a remix of the Content track I Party All the Time, we could tell you a bit about how they came about. But then, why do that when Andy Gill and Jon King can do it for us?

A few weeks ago, Gorillaz dropped a new single called “Doncamatic (All Played Out),” which predominantly featured the vocals of Daley. After one listen through, you should understand why this track was not a good fit for Plastic Beach. Regardless, an official video has been released for the single. Check it out below ..
