A few days ago, Diplo released his Moombahton 2k11 Mix, which will certainly be cranked many times by us throughout the summer. Included on the mix is the Diplo and Skrillex collaboration, “Amplifier,” which features a blend of tropical, electro beats, with some good ole fashioned bass wobble. PS .. Diplo must have known that we LOVE sloths!

May 3rd saw the release of the Beastie Boys‘ long-awaited Hot Sauce Committee Pt. 2, and now that the album has been on the market (legally) for over a month, remixes of tracks are starting to pour in. The first remix up is for the track “Don’t Play No Game That I Can’t Win,” and comes from Diplo and Switch‘s Jamaican, cartoon, commando collaboration, Major Lazer.

I started this mix for them like a year ago but it took derek about 6 months to send stems so it was kinda in remix limbo but i really wanted to get it out to u guys cause i think the bass and the drums sounds nice and u can play it at your next party. [via]

In addition to the mixtape, we have David Kennedy’s (aka Pearson Sound) refix of M.I.A.’s single “It Takes a Muscle.” On the track, “Kennedy disassembles the electro-tinged reggae of the original and constructs a completely new creature bred specifically for the dance floor.” [via]

Mansions on the Moon is the latest project from Lane Shaw and Ben Hazlegrove (of Pnuma Trio) along with singer/songwriter, Ted Wendler. The group formed a little over a year ago, developing their signature sound at studios in Atlanta and Virginia Beach and have since collaborated with N*E*R*D, Diplo, DJ Benzi and Chiddy Bang‘s Xaphoon Jones.

Paradise Falls, presented by Diplo and DJ Benzi illustrates the wide range of Mansions on the Moon’s musical capabilities. The band is currently in Los Angeles recording their debut album with tour dates to be announced in the early part of 2011. [via]
