Earlier this week, DJ/Producer RJD2 and vocalist Aaron Livingston premiered The Abandoned Lullaby, which is the duo’s debut release as Icebird. Whether he is operating solo, as The Insane Warrior, or now as Icebird, RJD2 never fails to serve up delicious beats that showcase his unique style of production. Add the smooth vocals of Livingston and you’ve got yourself a solid record, which cannot be missed.
On June 27, the South London producer SBTRKT will release his debut, self-titled LP. Thanks to the Hype Machine, we have a full album stream so you can get hip to SBTRKT’s blend of electro music. Last weekend, Pretty Lights debuted his new stage show to the crowds of Bonnaroo, and performed for over three hours, until the run began to rise. While on their latest tour, Sargent House’s youngest band, Native, debuted a new track! Hopefully, this material will end up on the band’s follow-up to 2010′s Wrestling Moves.
Prince brought his touring band, the New Power Generation, to the Lopez stage earlier this week, and debuted a new track titled “Lay Down.” If you had any doubts towards the new music coming from the almighty purple one, then let “Lay Down” put those fears to rest.
Alexander Ebert may be well-known as the frontman of the band Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros but on March 1st, the singer/songwriter will release his debut, self-titled, solo effort via Community Music.

The London-based artist Alessio Natalizia, aka Banjo or Freakout, is set to release his self-titled debut in the US on March 8th through Rare Book Room (March 7th for the UK) and below, we have the entire album streaming for your pleasure. Today marks my first exposure to Banjo or Freakout and all I can say is that his blend of electronic, indie rock, folk, and bedroom pop is certainly nothing to sleep on.
