On October 18th, ex-Moldy Peaches member Kimya Dawson will release her eighth studio album, Thunder Thighs, which was produced by Aesop Rock. Featuring Dawson’s somber yet humor-filled vocals, “Driving Driving Driving” perfectly fits her flow of words over the mellow sounds of an acoustic guitar.

Over the past few years, Aesop Rock, Rob Sonic, and DJ Big Wiz, have performed live together, and even made appearances on each other’s solo albums. In 2011, the trio joined forces to release their debut LP under the Hail Mary Mallon moniker, Are Gonna Eat That?.

“Breakdance Beach” is our favorite single from the LP, and lucky for us, a video has been released! Check it out.

The boys in Hail Mary Mallon, (aka Aesop Rock, Rob Sonic, and DJ Big Wiz,) have released the video for “Garfield,” which is the second single off their forthcoming Are You Gonna Eat That? If you have yet to pre-order your physical copy of the release, I suggest you do so now. I received the double LP in the mail yesterday, and boy does it sound fantastic.

On June 7th, Aesop Rock, Rob Sonic, and DJ Big Wiz, will be releasing physical copies of Are You Gonna Eat That?, their debut effort under the Hail Mary Mallon moniker. We have seen snippets, and teasers of the project in the past, but now we have a video for the single “Smock.” So, hop into the Burgundy Camry with the Mallon Boys and enjoy “Smock.”

Are You Gonna Eat That? is available for pre-order through Fifth Element or iTunes. Physical copies will be released on June 7th, but digital copies of the album will be available  on May 3rd. I pre-ordered the LP, which comes on a limited custom printed gatefold jacket with double colored green vinyl with D Side etching.

Ever since Aesop Rock, Rob Sonic, and DJ Big Wiz, teased us with the toxic video for “D-Up”, the first single from the trio’s latest project Hail Mary Mallon, I have been anxiously awaiting for news of a release. In the video below, we see the Mallon boys debuting a new track “Grubstake” and also letting us know that the master tracks have arrived and a new release will hopefully be out soon! CHECK IT.

From her forthcoming album Thunder Thighs, Kimya Dawson has released the 10-minute single “Walk Like Thunder” for stream/download. Not only do Dawson’s vocals cut straight to the bone (or the heart if you have one,) but the roster of artists included on the track is quite amazing as well! The track features:

Before Alex Pardee and the ZeroFriends crew closed up its pop-up shop in San Francisco and headed down to LA,  Cage, Aesop Rock, and Chauncey performed some tracks while donning some classy Halloween attire. San Francisco’s Hanni El Khatib is the multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter, and producer of his one-man band. This past summer he released the Dead Wrong 7”, which showcases his blend of garage rock and swampy blues that we can only compare to the Black Keys.

Today, 900 Bats posted an Aesop Rock remix of Hanni El Khatib’s track “You Rascal You,” which appeared as the B-side on the Dead Wrong 7”. Listen to the remix below and toss your e-mail into the widget for the download.

We have some dope new music from Dirty Ghosts, who consist of Carson Binks and Allyson Baker (former Bassist and Guitarist of SF indie band Parchman Farm,) with some programming and drum sampling from Aesop Rock. I have been blasting the track “Shout It In” since SKoA debuted it last week but now we have an official video for the first single off the group’s upcoming LP.
