The Flaming Lips to stream 24-hour track on Halloween
October 27, 2011Just in case The Flaming Lips‘ 6-hour song was not enough for you, the band will be streaming their brand new 24-hour track starting at midnight (Oklahoma time) on Halloween. Keep an eye on how much time is left until the stream (in OK time) below.
According to Pitchfork, The Lips’ frontman Wayne Coyne has described the track as “a song about death and it’s a song about fucking and it’s a song about life,” which seems to be fitting since the band plans to embed a hard drive that contains the track into 5 different human skulls. That’s right, no more of those gummy skulls/fetus. This time, the lucky folks who manage to get their hands on a copy will receive a real human skull. Thanks to YANP for the heads up!
