[OFFICIAL] VIDEO :: Portugal. The Man – “Sleep Forever”

On July 19th, Portugal. The Man will release their latest effort, and Atlantic Record debut, In The Mountain, In The Cloud. In the past, we have teased the teasers, and posted the pre-order information, but, now we have the band’s latest video, from cinematographer Michael Ragen, for the tracks “Sleep Forever,” and “Got It All (This Can’t Be Living Now.)”
While the video made an appearance before each of Portugal. The Man’s recent tour dates, IFC has now premiered the video for those who were not in attendance. The video shows lead singer/guitarist John Gourley on a dogsledding trip through his native Alaska, until the dogs become lost, and Gourley is left to find his way out of the wilderness. What stuck with me most from this video is the sound that come from Gourley as he screams for help .. The whole idea of being lost in a frozen land, with nothing but a gun, should certainly make you uncomfortable, but the beautiful music that accompanies the video will ease those feelings, and you’ll be reminded that everything is going to be alright.
