On July 19th, Portugal. The Man will release their latest effort In The Mountain, In The Cloud, through Atlantic Records. In the past we have brought you previews of a handful of tracks, but now we have a full stream of the track “Got It All (This Can’t Be Living Now).” I am loving additional vocals on this track!

Our favorite thinking man’s plus-sized punk band have a new LP out on June 7 entitled David Comes To Life. They’re feeding the beast by teasing free mp3s almost weekly, the latest being “Ship of Fools.” Grab “Fools” below, then head to davidcomestolife.com to snag two others. The next track, “Queen of Hearts,” will be posted May 3.
Fucked Up assign more value to their vinyl than anyone this side of Jack White. Really looking forward to picking up this heavy-duty double disc come summer.

Not only do Holy Ghost! make buttery Brooklyn disco, but they also seems to have decades of solid hairline to look forward to. In their newest video, Alex & Nick tap out in favor of their actual fathers, who–after snagging some new duds on Karmaloop–sport uncanny resemblance to their respective sons.
Holy Ghost!’s self-titled debut album is out now on DFA.

This past weekend, the Beastie Boys debuted their forthcoming album Hot Sauce Committee Part Two through a live Ustream, which broadcasted from a boombox that was placed in the center of Madison Square Garden. Now, a little over a week away from the official release of the album, the trio have uploaded the entire studio version of the album for you to stream!

If you’re a fan of Dam-Funk, then you already know that his style consists of boogie, electro funk, and all other types of soul music, but, have you ever wondered what the “ambassador of boogie funk” listens to on a regular basis? It’s a pleasure to share these tracks with my new oki-ni friends. I own all of these records. No mp3s or computer files were used for this mix. No fake shit or fads; just the truth.” [via]

While I have been spinning “A Chore” all week, it has taken me nearly five days to post the video up for you all to enjoy. This may seem a tad mean, but it is certainly better than 5 years, which is the amount of time between the release of Tom Vek’s debut album We Have Sound, and his much-anticipated sophomore effort Leisure Seizure.
To get a taste from the new album, check out the single “A Chore” in the video below, and make sure to grab a copy of Leisure Seizure on June 7th!
Last month, Green Label Sound’s Classixx busted out a killer dance track titled “Into the Valley.” If you thought the party was going to stop with the original, than you should hold on to your hats, as the electro two-piece YACHT have gone ahead and remixed the track. Take a listen/download the track, but first check out what YACHT had to say about the remix:
“We’ve been waiting for the chance to return the favor and make a remix for Classixx ever since the amazing Psychic City remix they made for us. We like to make remixes that really alter the structure and sometimes message of the original, while maintaining the overall spirit inside. ‘Into the Valley’ has one of the most inspired vocals that we’ve heard in recent memory. It was an honor to make/break this song.”

Fans of sample-filled mixtapes should instantly be turned on to the sound of Rochester, NY’s Joywave. The band has recently released 7777, which features their vocals combined with different samples from Miike Snow, Pet Shop Boys, Flaming Lips, and LCD Soundsystem, just to name a few. Grab a listen to the mix below ..

Earlier today, Chris Chu of The Morning Benders posted a new track titled “Oh Annie”, which did not make it on to the band’s 2010 release Big Echo. Oddly enough, Chu said that his “only regret with ‘Big Echo’ is that this song wasn’t on it. I wrote it after watching Annie Hall for the 100th time.”
The Beastie Boys‘ are set to release of Hot Sauce Committee Pt. 2 on May 2nd, and we have 5 new track previews to hold you over until then! Thanks to NME for the clips.
Portugal. The Man have posted a new preview for the track “So American,” which will be found on their forthcoming album. In the past we have seen teasers of “Once Was One,” and “All Your Light (Times Like These).”

North Carolina’s The Love Language have been on our radar since we saw them open for Portugal. The Man back in August 2009 in NYC. After our initial exposure to their playful, pop sound, we gobbled up their 2009 self-titled debut, and was pleased to find Libraries in 2010. Today, the band’s third Daytrotter session, “A Heart Made Me Do It,” has been released, and it really shows how great a band can sound aside from their recordings. There is so much live energy, the rhythms sound crisper, and the vocals seem more heartfelt (if thats possible.)
Below, you can take a listen to The Love Language performing “Heart To Tell” live on Daytrotter, and by heading on over to the Daytrotter website, you can download the entire set.
