In September of last year, the Oregon-based duo known as Mackintosh Braun (aka Ian Mackintosh and Ben Braun) released a lovely pop album titled Where We Are. From this, Mother Earth took the beats from the single “Made For Us” and a mashed it up with the verses from Jay-Z‘s “Pray”.
In regards to the remix, Mother Earth said:
So in making the hold my hand mix, I was playing around a lot with the Pray acapella from Jay. I also had this mackintosh braun beat I was trying to hook up with something but couldn’t get anything to match. So I realized they fit together, mixed it real quick, and decided it was good enough to post. Most of the time I just throw stuff like this out and just do it for fun.
