After seeing LCD Soundsystem live this past summer at Camp Bisco 9, I have been constantly looking for any videos/tracks/remixes that are put out by the band. Luckily, a video for”Home” was shot in Texas sometime during 2010 and has now been released! Enjoy the video that is filled with robots and good times..

Also popping up in LCD Soundsystem news is a video of the band performing “Dance Yrself Clean.” Why is this news? Well, according to CoS this is the first time this has track has been performed live so watch and wish you were there ..

Check out the new video from Portugal. The Man for The Satanic Satanist‘s opening track “People Say”. Did anyone else foresee a video like this being released when they first heard this single? It appears to me that this fits in well with a love for sci-fi as the band is being programmed to be telephone operators by some thugs.

Lucky for PTM, they escape. Lucky for us, we get another wonderful video.

Yesterday, Diplo tweeted a demo of a “lost/new/crazy” song that was recorded with M.I.A. called “4THEPEOPLEONTHEBOAT.” The track certainly reminds me of M.I.A. pre-/\/\/\Y/\. Check out the demo for yourself and leave a comment!

With a name like “Hoes Come Out At Night,” one would expect a video filled with booze, glitter, and probably some good ole’ fashioned hoes. This, however, is not the case in Cubic Zirconia‘s mind! Tiombe Lockart of the band produced the video and what we see here is some sort of water birthing ritual involving a pregnant women and some scantily clad dancers.

An exciting new single from the NY-based indie dance band Cubic Zirconia. In “Hoes Come Out At Night”, Tiombe Lockart spits raw lyrics over a dubstep-influenced track that features punchy drums, tasteful synth hits and a tough bassline.

ABAGA Records has a released more free music and this time we get some dirty dubstep from Tactus in his Deranged EP. Take a listen below and note the beautiful blend of reggae roots + wobbly bass ..

From ABAGA ::

The Deranged EP kicks off in typical Tactus style; Dynasty Of Doom is harsh and heavy and yet has a danceable skank that doesn’t let up. Killa Na Run, is again testament to Tactus’ reggae roots, with catchy vocals and melodic guitar riffs offsetting some hefty sub.

Tracked Down places itself firmly on the dub side of dubstep, and allows the mellow side of Tactus as producer time to shine through; it also lulls us into a false sense of security before the EPs conclusion with Cuntaminated, which ups the ante for a filthy finish to a belter of an EP.

Dam-Funk has a wonderful funk treat in store for us today with the release of a new video for “Hood Pass Intact” and the track “I Like Your Big Azz (Girl.)” “Hood Pass Intact” is from the LAtrik portion of his Toeachizown album (which consists of five parts; LAtrik, Fly, Life, Hood, and Sky.) Here is what Dam had to say on these matters:

LAtrik is more of my ‘electric style’ (hence the title of this volume) which is influenced by, yet never bitin’, such great artist as Juan Atkins (Cybotron) & Prince to name just a few. It also highlights the more Modern sounds of L.A. based Funk right now with instrumentals like ‘Toeachizown’ & vocal tracks like ‘Mirrors’ which, I feel are distinctly my sound, humbly speaking. I hope U dig it, as this was made 4 U! Stay tuned 4 Volumes: 2. 3, 4, & 5.

“I Like Your Big Azz (Girl),” on the other hand, is coming from a whole new beast of tracks that Dam-Funk is set to unleash through Stones Throw on October 26th. “At the request of Peanut Butter Wolf, Dam went through many of these recordings, all made on cassette, going back to his teenage years.  As Wolf tells it, “Dam told me, ‘this is your project Wolf.  Do whatever you want with it.  I leave it in your hands.  I don’t even wanna see it til it’s done.  Have fun.” The result is Dam-Fun’s Adolescent Funk, a 14-track album recorded between 1988 and 1992.” [via Stonesthrow]

Every time a Nina Simone song comes up on my iTunes, I always get the same feeling in my gut that all will be OK. There is something so soothing about her beautiful voice that always makes me a little bit happier. Lucky for us, this feeling is not lost in Mike Relm‘s remix of the track “Feeling Good.” The beat is a bit heavier, Simone never sounded better around some table scratches, and most importantly, the soul is still there. Off their latest album Of the Colour of the Blue Sky, check out OK GO‘s performance last night of “White Knuckles.”

PS .. I watched 20 minutes of Jay Leno’s show before OK GO took the stage and it was brutal to watch. Now I remember why I don’t stay up for that show.

Posting the new migraine inducing video from M.I.A. earlier today may have been a huge mistake since Zach Hill‘s visual take on “The Primitives Talk” is a wonderful mindfuck that will certainly require some mush between your ears.

If you were one of the many folks who thoroughly enjoyed Travis Barker and his hip-hop remixes, you had best check out the first single to be released from his debut LP Get the Drummer Some. “Jump Down” features the vocal ramblings of both Mikey Rocks and Chuck Inglish (aka The Cool Kids) along with the slammin’ beats of Travis Barker. If this track is any indication of the rest of the album, I have a feeling some big names and beats will be combined.
