WATCH :: The Chemical Brothers debut “Another World” video + ‘Further’ review
July 28, 2010I have been sitting on this “review” of the new Chemical Brothers album Further for quite some time. This was due to the fact that I have not written many reviews in the past and was a bit apprehensive to throw it out there. But, the Chemical Brothers just debuted a brand new video for their track “Another World” and I figured that I might as well combine the review and the video into one post. So, enjoy the video and be gentle on the review ..
Further opens up with the vocal line “You’re love keeps lifting me .. lifting me higher” and while we were promised love, I can say this may have been a misinterpretation for an awesome album filled with electro-psychedelia. Further moves as though the Chemical Brothers are kicking these jams out to your ears in a live setting as the entire album takes off with each track seamlessly blending into one another. For some reason, I constantly had the intro of “Teenage Wasteland” in my mind as Further traveled from it’s 80′s electro-pop ballad “Another World” and later into the acoustic instrument equipped “K+D”+B.” The whole album gives off a live throwback vibe set in the future and I can certainly dig it.
