On May 25th, Tom Fec (aka Tobacco) will be releasing his latest effort Maniac Meat through Anticon records. After listening to the leaked album (sorry Tom .. I pre-ordered the double LP!) and catching a live performance last weekend at the Knitting Factory, I can easily say that his music and style are by far some of the most “out there” things I have experienced … who else do you know that combines delicious 80′s/90′s hip-hop beats with analog synths and vocoder vocals all recorded on to tape? If you need more proof that Maniac Meat is a must buy, check out the previously posted tracks “Sweatmother” and “Fresh Hex” (featuring Beck) or stream the newly released “Motorlicker.”

Through their website, Interpol have released a new track “Lights” + an updated logo (check it below.) The band has not announced a new album but hopefully this release is a teaser for more to come!

To be honest, I never fully got in to Interpol but my old college roommate EDG4R (of Team Rojas) used to LOVE these guys so I decided to finally buck up and give this track a chance. If you are an avid fan or a curious music lover like myself, check out the track below ..
