Just finished listening to the two albums (which are posted below) and all I can say is WOW .. Omar has put forth two albums that are somewhat mind blowing. I found that these  albums are a tad more accessible than some of his previous works .. but don’t worry .. these are fairly out there as well. Give em a try!

This release will never be out on CD but we are pressing a limited amount on Vinyl so reserve your copy now at RLP Record Store this will not be available in stores anywhere for purchase other than through RLP .The vinyl will ship on or around December 1st

Is the full length album from Omar Rodriguez Lopez, his debut with him doing the vocals. Is being released via Rodriguez Lopez Productions Europe on September 28th Vinyl & CD (Europe only). The Digital will get it’s worldwide release Tonight at Midnight but ONLY at RLP Digital . Then will be available worldwide in all retail and digital outlets on November 10th. The US Vinyl is (Pink) European version is (Yellow) and is now available for Pre-Order at RLP Record Store and will ship on or around November 28th.

This extended 5 minute trailer features scenes from Fly in a Bottle, a movie about the band Medeski Martin & Wood during the year-long process of composing, touring and recording the music for their 3 volumes of “Radiolarians” music. The second half of this excerpt features an incredible B3 Hammond organ solo by John Medeski from the actual recording session of ‘Broken Mirror’ from Radiolarians vol.3. This upcoming MMW movie will be available in the box set on November 24, 2009.

Blu has always been an artist that has somewhat fascinated me. He has posted pictures of his building sized pieces of art that are all created in an urban environmetn on whatever canvas he can find (be it a building, a street floor, trash, etc ..) The video below is a collbaoration between Blu and David Ellis .. the amount of time and effort that goes must’ve gone into this art is amazing. Enjoy.
