Morning News SmackDown 3.26
March 26, 2009Slow news day today. Don’t worry, I’ve been keeping second rate stories in my starred Google Reader folder just for this.
Dr. Dog will be playing Jimmy Fallon next Thursday (April 2nd). Hidden Track says you can get the skinny on putting your name in the running for free tickets to the show by clicking on this link. Good luck.
All you Beat fans should like this one. Paste is reporting (weeks ago) that a movie entitled Kill Your Darlings will tell the story of Lucien Carr, and the murder trial he went through following his 1944 murder of David Kammerer. Carr was quite chummy with Jack Kerouac, Allen Ginsberg, and William Burroughs. Apparently Jesse Eisenberg will play Ginsberg, and the Human Torch, Chris Evans, will play Kerouac.
There is a pretty good interview with Yeezy in Complex Magazine this month. You can read the full interview here. It’s one of the more readable interviews with Kanye I’ve seen in a while. Per usual, Mr. West sounds, let’s call it very confident, throughout.
Wilco’s website has confirmed rumors that Feist will be featured in a duet entitled “You and I” on Wilco’s soon to be released album. The album, which is unnamed to this point, is due out in June.
