The Blues Foundation has released a list of performers to be inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame in 2009. Taj Mahal, The Reverand Gary Davis, Irma Thomas, and Son Seals will be inducted into the Hall of Fame on May 6th in Memphis.
Willie Nelson has announced a new set of tour dates in March, April, and May. This tour will take Willie through the Southeast, into Canada the Northeast United States, before heading west and ending in Interlochen, MI. You can see a full list of dates at MusicNewsNet.com.
Common has teamed up with Microsoft to release a new “Softwear” clothing line. The clothes are themed to celebrate 1985, the year Microsoft first released their Windows operating system, and a pivotal year for hip hop being brought to the mainstream. RealTalkNY is reporting that Coolio was recently robbed by a bunch of fans at a concert at Staffordshire University in the UK. Apparently, fans parted when the rapper jumped into the crowd. After he hit the ground they pounced on him, taking his chain, bandana, and shoes.
