herCommon has teamed up with Microsoft to release a new “Softwear” clothing line.  The clothes are themed to celebrate 1985, the year Microsoft first released their Windows operating system, and a pivotal year for hip hop being brought to the mainstream.  You can see Common’s contributions to the line here.

coolioRealTalkNY is reporting that Coolio was recently robbed by a bunch of fans at a concert at Staffordshire University in the UK.  Apparently, fans parted when the rapper jumped into the crowd.  After he hit the ground they pounced on him, taking his chain, bandana, and shoes.

Rev. Gary Davis gave Bob Weir guitar lessons and is the reason the Dead do “Samson & Delilah” and I think “Death Don’t Have No Mercy” as well.

Also just one hell of a musician.
