Because Ryan Adams Knows You Can’t Get Laid On Your Own

Weeks after announcing he’d be retiring from music and blogging after his current tour with The Cardinals, Ryan Adams announced via his blog that he’ll be releasing a Valentine’s Day EP on February 10th. At this point it looks like the EP will be available through ITunes Only. The track list is below:

What he needs to retire from is being a bitch.
Who’s read the whole post where he talks about retiring? I couldn’t take it seriously. Every other sentence was him worrying about what other people (bloggers?) say about him. For someone in their mid-30s he’s awfully immature. And maybe he has hearing problems because the Cardinals is one of the loudest bands I’ve ever seen. They could easily pull it back and still be loud enough.
Maybe when he realizes that the likes of Parker Posey and Lindsay Lohan stop knocking on your door once you’re unemployed, he’ll saddle up again.
I doubt the amount of bands that you’ve seen play louder than The Cardinals had much to do with Ryan Adams going deaf. It seems to me that he has some very serious emotional issues he probably has to deal with. Perhaps stepping away from music for a while will help him do that. He doesn’t really owe anybody anything, and there are a lot of people out there on the internet complaining about stuff. Cut the guy some slack.

I think we all wish we could have a little Moore Mandy in our lives…you can’t hate on the guy for that. Ryan Adams is bat-shit crazy. This is an accepted fact. What good does insulting him do? Let’s just rejoice in his craziness like normal people.
